bmdotnet recently chatted with Bridgit, and here are twelve interesting things about Bridgit, that you might not know:

♥For my first Halloween I dressed up like a bunny rabbit. My grandpa gave me my first piece of Halloween candy and that’s when my obsession with chocolate began!
♥I played the violin all through middle school but never got very good and so I stopped. Moral of the story: stick to your instruments!
♥I have a golden retriever named Missy. I named her when I was five.
♥I still can’t pronounce the word caterpillar.
♥I hold my breath whenever I go through a tunnel.
♥My favorite subject in school when I was younger was math. I was the nerd who did equations for fun!
♥I think koala bears are the cutest thing ever.
♥When I was in preschool my favorite color was black.
♥I know all of the words to one of Salt ‘n Pepa’s raps.
♥Me and my brother used to build massive forts out of cardboard boxes when we were younger and then sleep in them over night!
♥I used to make bracelets out of bended toothbrushes when I was in middle school and sell them at a local teen clothing store!
♥I really want to go skydiving!

What was life like on the set of your new movie, Lemonade Mouth?
We had so much fun filming Lemonade Mouth. I’ve got loads of wonderful, fun memories from the film shoot because the cast got along together really well. We were all able to goof off and have a really great time together. We had the time of our lives!

How did you get involved with the movie?
I was sent the script for Lemonade Mouth and I immediately fell in love with the story. I jumped at the chance to audition for a role!

How did the audition go?
It was fun auditioning for Lemonade Mouth – and I’m really glad I got to be a part of the movie. I auditioned a bunch of times for the role of Olivia and every time they wanted a different take on the character. It was tough, but I really enjoyed it.

Did you enjoy singing in the movie?
I loved it! My character is the lead singer in a band called Lemonade Mouth, so I had a lot of fun singing in the movie. I love to sing and I love music, so it was the perfect role for me.

What was your favourite scene to shoot?
For one scene, the band rocked out on a massive stage like we were performing for thousands of fans. There was all of this crazy stuff going on around us and kids were rocking out as if they were at a real concert. It was cool to pretend I was a rock star!

Have you always wanted to be a singer as well as an actress?
I started out with aspirations of becoming an actress, but music has always been a great hobby of mine. I sang a song that I wrote for my church when I was 6 years old, so singing is something that I’ve always done.

How much do you enjoy singing?
I adore singing! I’m one of those people who unconsciously sings all the time. In fact, I find myself harmonising most of the day. I harmonise to whatever is playing on the radio and I don’t even realise I’m doing it!

Where did you shoot Lemonade Mouth?
We shot the movie in a place called Albuquerque in New Mexico – and we spent a lot of our spare time hanging out around our hotel. We didn’t have cars, so we couldn’t go far – but it was great.

What exactly did you get up to when the cameras stopped rolling?
We had pillow fights, movie nights and fun water fights when the cameras weren’t rolling. We even made a mock video of the movie, Shutter Island. We did all sorts of goofy, random things!

What else do you like to do in your free time?
I’m a pretty regular teenager in my free time. I like to read, I like to listen to music and I love watching movies. I also love to hang out with my friends.

What charities do you hold close to your heart?
I work with a charity called First Book, which promotes education for kids that don’t have the access to books that they need. That’s very close to my heart.

What are your favourite books?
My number one favourite book is Hamlet. I don’t know if that really counts as a book because it’s more of a play, but I’ve got a long list of other favourites including 1984, Catcher in the Rye and Lord Of The Flies.

Are there any other books you rate?
Sure! All Quiet On The Western Front is another great book. Oh, and A Brave New World. That’s a great read. I really liked that.

Do you read books in between takes at work?
I read everywhere! I read on set, I read at home and I read whenever I’m travelling. My problem is that I read a bunch of books at the same time. I’m reading two or three books right now!

Do you get confused when you read more than one book at a time?
Sometimes it gets a little confusing, but I can’t stop it. I’ll just go back a couple of pages to get into the book again and then I’m fine.

If you love to read, does that mean you were good at English at school?
I’ve always loved reading and I really enjoyed English – but I also loved Maths at school.

Maths? Eek!
Well, I was never good at geometry, but I love algebra. I liked physics, too – but I found that a little trickier. It was hard, but it was fun.

Have you ever used your maths skills outside of school?
Maths has definitely come in handy when managing my business affairs. I’ve always tried to keep in the loop on the business side of my career and I like to read through my contracts and things like that. Maths has definitely helped me there!

Has physics ever helped you in your career?
Physics has actually made a huge impact on my life because I think about the world differently after studying the subject. I like to think about how everything works and why it moves the way it does. Physics comes into your life more than you think, even if you’re just looking at the way rain falls or the way a rainbow works.

That’s enough talk of physics and schoolwork! How does it feel to have loads of fans all around the world?
Fans are great! It’s really, really cool to be in this position and to be recognised all over the world. I was in Argentina recently and I couldn’t believe that people were stopping me and asking me to sign autographs there. It’s crazy how Disney Channel reaches so many people.

What are your fans like?
My fans are amazing! They are very sweet and very giving. Every now and then I get a present from a fan and it’s the sweetest thing ever. They like to give me birthday presents and things like that, which is really nice of them. I couldn’t ask for better fans!

But what’s been your most bizarre fan encounter?
I’ve had people ask me to sign weird things before, like cell phones and shoes. That’s pretty weird! But on the whole, I never really have any bizarre meetings. Everything is going really well at the moment and I’m very happy with life. I’m very lucky and I feel blessed to be here. I also feel blessed to be part of an incredible movie like Lemonade Mouth. I hope you guys like it!

The interview is really cute, make sure you read it! <3 Source
